Job Duties
FAA CERTIFICATED AIRFRAME & POWERPLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS with supervisory experience to lead our day shift team and conduct work on our aircraft, components and related parts in accordance with Grand Canyon Airlines policies and procedures (Continuous Aircraft Maintenance Manual (CAMP) and Approved Aircraft Inspection Program (AAIP)), manufacturer's manuals and FAA requirements. Aircraft specific training provided.
Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent • Possess a valid driver's license • Effective communication skills; both verbal and written • Must have previous aviation supervisory experience
Requirements and Experience
Professional that is able to work as a member of a team or individually. Must have the ability to be trained to use calibrated hand and specialized tools. Must be able to read, understand and speak English (required for FAA A&P Mechanics and in order to properly use aircraft manuals). Possess quality decision-making capability and mental alertness to ensure safety. Must pass pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screen. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays (Mechanic positions are fixed with a 4-day work week, 10 HR shifts).
Other
Must be able to lift 20 lbs and often lifting above head. Must be able to fit into tight places. Must have sufficient physical dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and motions including bending at the waist and knees, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing ladders, aircraft and support stands, and sustaining position for extended amounts of time. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., high visibility clothing, hearing protection, safety glasses) when required.
